Pathways - Skills and Work Habits

Human Resources Development Canada (HRSDC) has identified nine essential skills and five work habits needed for work, learning and life. They provide the foundation for learning all other skills and enable people to evolve with their jobs and adapt to workplace change and changes in the community (Human Resources & Skills Development Canada - Essential Skills). Also known as Employability Skills, these nine skills are important for success in the workplace and everyday life. The nine essential skills and five work habits are listed below.
